Cruising Along
The canoe adventure is not a race but a cruise paddled at a really relaxed tempo. Athletic prowes is definitley not a requirement! After setting off from the base camp all the canoes spread out and take their own route, no need to hug the guides! When going down rapids or in a fast flowing section the guides might give a "follow me" signal and then all canoes line up to take the best line for a while. There is plenty of space to be adventurous.
