Do it standing up on your first try! Become famous or wet! Of the seven guys who did our famous Orange River Canoe Adventure I was the only one not to capsize at Sjambok! Was this due to some superior canoe skills? I push that point of view hard but actually it was due to the fact that there were an odd number of guys on the trip and I was the one who got a canoe all to myself. This makes for a better chance of staying upright. Don't tell the others, they will slaughter me!! If you go by yourself ask for a canoe of your own. Whatever you do do not team up with an Italian opera singer!
